- Might Be Drunk by Mark Normand and Sam Morril: They have great banter, call backs for fans, and never change from guest to guest. Always funny and some inside baseball for the comedy industry, but they keep it very funny. They also talk about movies from time to time and even work out bits they are fleshing out on the show.
- The Pete and Sebastian show by Pete Correale and Sebastian Maniscalco: They lean older with a lot of married life and parenthood topics which is the only reason they aren't number one. Pete and Sebastian work off each other beautifully making for weird looks in public when I burst laughing while shopping at HEB. Definitely men's humor, not trying to be PC and they even make fun about how annoyed they get at things. Hilarious stories and funny takes on public behavior and mindsets. Never a bad show and wish it was longer. They are moving to XMRadio or whatever and the show will still be on podcast apps as The Sebastian Show.
- Net Positive by John Crist: Great banter and funny insights on viral videos and current events. Since John Crist is a Christian comic this will be slightly funnier to Christians and people who are familiar with Evangelical culture, but only slightly. Most of the show is neutral and always very funny. Even when John is trying to avoid talking about the moon landing.
- Fly on the Wall by Dana Carvey and David Spade: They are very funny and have great banter, but have some noticeable kid gloves with some guests and around some topics. If you like SNL this does comes with a lot of behind the scenes stories and history of the show, but if you don't like SNL or don't find it interesting there might be enough of it in the show to make it a waste of time for you. Dana does tons of voices and David is always finding ways to snipe at him or join in.
- Matt and Shane’s secret podcast: Shane Gillis is one of the funniest human beings alive and when he's on the show it's one of the best on this list, but he frequently isn't. Matt is funny and the rest of the guys are decent, but it's very mixed and forgettable without Shane. Not to mention when they get deep into WWE.
- Smartless by Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes: They have a funny relationship and have funny moments often. They are severely handcuffed by trying to be PC and using kid gloves with guests, and they lean super left with certain guests. It comes close to being more of an acting podcast then a comedy at times and if you are not interested in actors, television shows, and movies then you might want to steer clear.
Honorable Mentions / Disqualified
- This Past Weekend with Theo Von: Not always a funny podcast depending on who he is interviewing, and I don't think he gets the most out of the guests. When he has a funny guest on it's his best show, but most shows are only occasionally funny. I feel like Theo has some of the funniest clips, but overall the show is not as interesting or funny as a whole.
- Flagrant with Andrew Schultz and Akash Singh: Leans younger and hipper. I am neither of those things, so some of their verbage goes over my head or just makes me eye-roll. When they have good guests like Shane Gillis or recently Tom Segura those are shows worth listening to, but I am not a part of the target audience most of the time.
- Kill Tony: I would say Kill Tony is more of a show than a podcast, very funny but also very sexually explicit and purposely offensive because it's a lot of new and wannabe comics, so they are trying to get easy shock laughs. Do not think it fits in the list.
- Adam Corolla and Joe Rogan: Both are not going to be funny depending on the guest. They’re more informational with a variety of topics. Very interesting, and I listen to both regularly but not looking for laughs most of the time.
- Soder by Dan Soder: Just stopped listening to this podcast. Seems decent, but a lot of WWE talk recently and that doesn't grab me. Might be better depending on the guest.
